This black and white dhurrie rug is made from sheep’s natural wool and woven by hand on the handloom. There are no colors added. There are only a few families left doing this kind of kharad weaving on a primitive loop, so this technique is slowly disappearing. Hand-looms are a dying art that Ichcha hopes to preserve and promote. These dhurries are an effort towards that.
