KAZI Home Goods Patterned Grass Hamper – Brown

• Made from elephant grass

This hamper is handmade by groups of women in small communities in the Bolgatanga region of Ghana. The material used for the weaving is elephant grass, which is only available in Kumasi- the southern part of Ghana. The grass is then hand-split, twisted, and dyed before the weaving begins.

Care: To clean or re-shape your basket, simply wet it with cool water, shape it as needed, and allow it to air dry. The basket should be watered once a year to hydrate the straw and keep it supple. Avoid using chemicals or detergents.

All products are made by hand and vary slightly in color and size.
